SOFIA (Bulgaria), March 21 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian trading company Gehard has invested 20 million euro ($26.7 million) to open a Kempinski-branded five-star hotel in one of the country's top winter resorts, a local business daily reported on Monday.

The second hotel of the luxury Kempinski Hotels & Resorts chain in Bulgaria will open in Bansko in April, Dnevnik daily said. Kempinski will manage the hotel and will take part of the revenue and the operating profit.

Kempinski already has one hotel in the Bulgarian capital Sofia.

Bulgaria has three major ski resorts: Borovets in the Rila mountain, Bansko in the Pirin mountain and Pamporovo in the Rhodope mountains.
